1) Who we are

12LoveFactors ("we", "us", "our") is a non-profit project based in Switzerland. Our mission is to help people build healthier relationships with research-informed tools.

2) Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using 12lovefactors.com, our quizzes, "outside-in" links, emails, or any related features (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3) Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older to use the Service. If you are under the age set above, you may only use the Service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian (where law allows).

4) Health & safety disclaimer (not therapy)

The Service provides self-help, educational information. It is not medical, psychological, psychiatric, or crisis care and is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are in crisis or may harm yourself or others, do not use the Service—seek local emergency help immediately.

5) Accounts & security

• Keep your login credentials confidential and secure.
• Provide accurate information and keep it updated.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

6) Our data promise (summary)

We are committed to improving relationships without commercial exploitation of your data. We do not sell personal data or psychometric profiles. See our Privacy Policy for details, including your rights and how to delete your data.

7) License to use the Service

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, in accordance with these Terms.

8) User content & "Outside-In" ratings

You may submit content, including assessment responses, comments, and outside-in ratings ("User Content").

• You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, process, and display your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service.
• Do not include personal data about third parties without their consent.
• "Outside-in" results are shown only once anonymity thresholds are met; individual ratings are not displayed.

9) Acceptable use (examples)

You agree not to:

• Use the Service unlawfully or in violation of applicable laws or rights of others.
• Impersonate any person or misstate your affiliation.
• Upload malicious code or attempt to scrape, mine, or reverse-engineer the Service without permission.
• Interfere with Service operation, security, or access restrictions.
• Harass, abuse, or submit defamatory, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
• Use automated means (bots, crawlers) without our written consent.

We may take reasonable moderation steps, including content removal or account suspension, to protect users and the Service.

10) Intellectual property

The Service, including text, designs, graphics, and software, is protected by IP laws and remains our property or that of our licensors. No rights are granted. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written permission.

16) Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time without providing reasons.

You may stop using the Service at any time and can request account/data deletion per our Privacy Policy.

17) Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by Swiss law. Courts of Uster Switzerland, shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

18) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service or applicable law. We may make changes at any time without prior notice, and the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Changes take effect upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.

20) Miscellaneous

• Severability: If any provision is invalid, the remainder remains in effect.
• No waiver: Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
• Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign to a successor non-profit or in connection with a reorganization.
• Entire agreement: These Terms + Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
• Force majeure: We are not liable for delays/failures due to events beyond our reasonable control.
